Online Account Help Centre: Using Your Online Account

At the moment, only some types of policy are available to view in the online account:

• Home Insurance
• Home and Lifestyle Insurance
• Bespoke Insurance
• Car Insurance
• Horse and Rider Insurance

We're gradually making more of our products available to view in the online account, so if you have other policies with us, they'll be added to your online account as soon as they become available.

The online account can show your policies in four statuses:

• Renewal: Your renewal documents will be visible 28 days before your renewal date.
• Active: A policy displays as 'active' when it is in force between its start and end dates.
• Upcoming: These are policies which you have paid for but the cover period has not started yet.
• Expired: Policies which have expired. You will be able to view policies in your online account for two years after their cancellation or the cover end date.

For now, you will only be able to see Home Insurance, Home and Lifestyle Insurance, Bespoke Insurance, Car Insurance or Horse and Rider Insurance policies in your online account. If you believe you should be able to see one of these policies and it is not visible, please contact us.

If you have any other products with NFU Mutual, you will not be able to see these in the online account.

You can log out at any time by using the 'Log out' button in the top right corner of your screen if you’re using a desktop computer. If you're using a mobile device, go to the three lines at the top right of your screen to open the menu. The 'Log out' option is at the bottom of the list of menu items.

You can check your personal details on the Profile screen. Select 'Profile' from the main menu at the top right of your screen on desktop, or by tapping the three lines at the top right of your screen to open the menu if you're using a mobile device.

If you'd like to update your details, please call us.

You can update your password from within the Profile screen in your online account. Select 'Profile' from the main menu at the top right of your screen on desktop, or by tapping the three lines at the top right of your screen to open the menu if you're using a mobile device. Then select the 'Update your password' tab and use the 'Update' button.

Alternatively you can use the 'Forgot your password?' link on the log in screen or contact us and we'll send you a link by email to securely reset your password. 

If you want to close your online account, you'll need to get in touch and ask us to do this for you. This won't affect any policies you hold with us, and in future your policy documents will be sent to you by post.

Yes, if you choose to close your account, you can register again in future if you change your mind.

If your account has been closed, this will either be because you've previously contacted us and asked us to close your account for you, or you recently told us about a change to some of your contact details and, for security reasons, access to your online account has been temporarily restricted. This doesn't affect any policies you have with NFU Mutual. You should receive an email from us explaining the steps to follow to get your online account back up and running.
